BlaB! 4 + phpBB, IPB, SMF, Joomla etc
BlaB! supports the following bulletin boards and content management systems:
Invision Board [1.x and 2.x], phpBB2 [2.x, 3.x], vBulletin [3.x], Simple Machines, PunBB, Woltlab Burning Board [2.x, 3.x and Lite], Expression Engine, Phorum, Vanilla, myBB, e107, Mambo, Joomla, phpNuke, postNuke and phpFusion. People registered and logged onto your bulletin board or CMS can enter BlaB! with their usernames directly, without a login prompt. When bulletin board or CMS users enter the chat, their profiles look like the one in the image above. Note that the avatar, location, occupation, interests, website etc are taken from the phpBB profile. Please note that BlaB! is NOT a module, NOR Add-on.
It does NOT touch your bulletin board or CMS installation so that you can upgrade it easily and even switch BlaB!
to work with another, e.g. you can remove phpBB and install vBulletin and by replacing 2 variables in
blab/config.php, BlaB will recognize your vBulletin users the same way it did it with phpBB.
The registration/login part of BlaB! still exists.
You need at least one BlaB! account - the admin.
It depends on your settings whether people are allowed to register new BlaB! accounts.
You can import moderators from your bulletin board or CMS.
If you need to integrate BlaB! with a bulletin board or content management system that is not in the list above please contact us including as many details as possible.
The integration (if possible!) is free of charge for our customers.
We also provide specially designed skins, information for advanced users and step-by-step instructions how to embed BlaB! into phpBB3, Invision Board, vBulletin, Joomla, WBB3 and Simple Machines. The chat works in an iframe that is embedded in the template files of your bulletin board.
