BlaB! 4: smartphones & handhelds

From version 4.4 BlaB! supports a variety of smartphones and handheld devices: iPhone, Windows Mobile and Symbian phones: S60 and UIQ3. BlaB! automatically detects that the user is running a mobile browser and loads a specially designed skin that fits the 240x320 screen either in normal or landscape mode. You are welcome to test BlaB with your mobile at our demo site: justblab.com.

LIMITATIONS!
Chatting over GPRS might be quite slow since latency times are measured in seconds.
In order to chat normally you need 3G or a wifi enabled device.

BlaB does NOT support: Internet Explorer Mobile which is a browser with very limited capabilities, Opera mini [it's a viewer, not a browser], Palm OS & Blackberry devices.

The following mobile browsers are supported:

iPhone / iPod Touch: Mobile Safari
Safari is the default preinstalled browser of both devices designed and marketed by Apple Inc. The browser is based on WebKit - a branch of the KHTML browser engine which is also used in the desktop version of Safari.

Windows Mobile 5/6 & 2003: Opera Mobile 8.65 & Opera Mobile 9.5
Since Internet Explorer mobile is rather useless not supporting modern technologies such as CSS2 and AJAX, now Opera is the big guy on the mobile market with versions for Windows Mobile and Symbian. Opera Mobile 8.65 is preinstalled on many WM devices, version 9.5 is available for download here.

Nokia S60 platform: Opera Mobile, Nokia browser
Nokia browser, another clone of WebKit, is the default browser of the S60 platform. A list of supported devices and information about the newest version can be seen here. Opera Mobile for S60 is available for download here.

Symbian UIQ3: Opera Mobile, Digia @Web
Opera Mobile 8.65 is preinstalled on all uiq3.x devices: Sony Ericsson: P1, M600, P990, W950, W960, G700, G900 and Motorola RIZR. Alternatively, the company Digia is developing a finger-touch controllable browser for UIQ3 phones: @web. The browser is also based on the WebKit engine.
