How do I CHMOD files/folders 
 
and what does this mean...

CHMOD means to change permissions/attributes of a file or folder on a Linux/Unix based system. This can be done with an FTP program of your choice, the screenshot below shows CHMODing a file with Filezilla:



You simply need to right-click on a file or folder and select Attributes [Permissions, CHMOD].
